NASA and ATK to visit Santa Clarita, CA Test Lab. Astronaut José Hernández and representatives from ATK of Brigham City, UT will be visiting the Santa Clarita, CA NTS facility on Friday, February 15, 2008.

WHY: The visit is a Human Space Flight Motivational Visit in recognition of NTS for their work in supporting the Space Program, specifically through the testing of Spacecraft Launch Components. NTS has been providing Shock, Thermal Cycling and Vibration testing of specific Spacecraft Launch Components for ATK for many years.

José Hernández of Stockton, CA, was selected by NASA for the Astronaut program in May 2004. He is currently assigned to the Astronaut Office Shuttle Brand supporting Shuttle launch and landing preparations at Kennedy Space Center.
