 Contracts
U.S. Navy Awards Visual Concepts $29 Million Technology Services Contract
1 year 11 months ago

Visual Concepts, LLC of Oxnard, Calif.,

has received a contract valued at over $29 million, including all option years, to provide technical support services for The U.S. Navy's Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC).

Under the contract, the company will provide 24/7/365 information technology services to NAVFAC's Information Technology Center (NITC) located in Port Hueneme, Calif. These services include the architecting, engineering,

analysis, implementation, administration, oversight and monitoring necessary to manage all the systems software, servers, storage devices and network components that comprise the NITC hosting environments.

"Until now, NAVFAC Enterprise IT service requirements were provided by multiple contracts from different contractors," said Priscilla Rouse Becker, CEO Visual Concepts. "By sourcing these services to Visual Concepts, the government will have an improved, streamlined framework to achieve better service."

NAVFAC manages the planning, design, construction, contingency engineering, real estate, environmental and public works support for Navy shore facilities around the world and has an annual volume of business in excess of $10 billion.

"We look forward to working with the government to build a solid foundation to face their challenges in this area," continued Rouse Becker. "Our strong team, coupled with a firm commitment to achieve the overall mission, will allow us to implement processes resulting in decreased costs and a significant increase in efficiency."

Visual Concepts is the prime contractor for the effort that started on January 1, 2008 with 17 full-time employees. Northrop Grumman, a $32 billion global defense and technology company with 120,000 employees, is the primary

subcontractor. LJT & Associates, Inc., also a subcontractor, is a technology and engineering services provider with ISO 9000 certification.
