Half-Slot, Multi-Function, PCI Card Upgraded with New Functionality

Bohemia NY -- North Atlantic Industries (NAI) has announced an upgrade to the functionality of its 3-module, multi-function, half-slot PCI card. This universal and highly flexible card eliminates the complexity and size constraints of using multiple, independent, single-function cards. The 76C2 PCI card can accommodate 3 independent modules. ARINC 429/575 (6-channels), RS-422/485/232 (4-channnels), D/S Converter (3-channels), and Reference Generator functions have recently been added to its library of available modules. Other available function modules include A/D (10-channels), D/A (10-channels), S/D (4-channels), Discrete I/O (16-channels), TTL I/O (16-channels), Transceiver I/O (11-channels), LVDT/RVDT (4-channels), and RTD (6-channels).

The interchangeable multi-function design of the 76C2 provides extensive diagnostics and is available in both commercial temperature range and severe environment, industrial temperature range. For increased flexibility, each of the functions of the 76C2 is highly programmable at the channel level. Continuous background (BIT) testing is performed on all functions and channels. This testing is totally transparent to the user, requires no programming, and doesn't interfere with the normal operation of the card. The 76C2 is ideally suited for Military and commercial programs, including airborne, shipboard, ground mobile and C3I applications. Its interchangeable modules increase functional density, and reduce the power consumption, size, and cost of the overall system.

The 76C2 is available with operating temperature ranges of -40°C to +85°C and 0C to +70C. Pricing for 100 pieces starts at $1995. Delivery is 10 to 12 weeks ARO.

"The 76C2 provides our customers with a flexible, multi-function, half-slot PCI card that reduces size, weight, power and cost," said Lino Masasfra, VP of Sales and Marketing at NAI. "They particularly like the continuous background self-test and the extensive diagnostics that are provided on the board."
