Washington DC, USA and Cheltenham, UK – 7th January 2009. Artisan® Software Tools, the world’s largest independent supplier of industrial-grade, collaborative modeling tools for complex, mission and safety-critical embedded systems and software, has announced the appointment of Dennis Andrews as Vice President of Sales - USA. Dennis will assume responsibility for driving the growth of the company’s direct sales efforts in the American market.
“Strengthening our business in the United States by growing sales and accelerating broader adoption of our leading mission and safety-critical embedded systems and software development products and services, represents a strategic opportunity for Artisan going forward,” said James B. Gambrell, CEO of Artisan Software Tools. “Dennis’ wealth of relevant industry experience and domain expertise gives him the ability to quickly understand client needs and map them to potential technology solutions, all of which, we believe, will help fundamentally accelerate our business development ambitions in the US.”
A graduate of the Illinois State University, Dennis comes to Artisan from rival company Telelogic/I-Logix, now part of IBM, where he worked in various strategic senior sales management positions. Prior to joining Telelogic, he managed the North American sales for French software company Verilog where he increased sales ten-fold in 5 years.
“Artisan is held in high regard by both customers and competitors alike and I am extremely pleased to be joining the company at such a challenging and exciting time in its development,” said Dennis Andrews. “The company’s history of innovation, robust SysML/UML tool suite and Work as OneTM philosophy resonate particularly well with the mission and safety-critical embedded systems and software development community where project complexity demands solutions on which they can rely totally.”
