SCHAUMBURG, IL March 2009--Pentair Electronic Packaging has completed the implementation of policies and procedures at the company’s San Diego, California facility to meet the requirements of the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) compliance program for registered manufacturers and exporters of defense articles and services as defined in the United States Munitions List (USML).
DDTC registration, often referred to as International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) registration, is the first step in preparing a business to work in conjunction with Military agencies on ITAR, US person eyes-only controlled programs. After registration, businesses must implement the DDTC compliance program to ensure that all of the necessary policies and procedures are in place to ensure design and manufacture in a US persons eyes-only environment meeting the requirements of ITAR.
“The defense market is a growth segment for Pentair, and by investing in regulatory policies and control, Pentair is committed to being a valued supply chain partner to the military/aerospace industries,” said Susan Gangsei, Pentair Electronic Packaging Sales and Marketing Director, Security/Defense.
