SALT LAKE CITY, UT – April 15, 2009 – Parvus has been named by Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] as a Small Business of the Year for 2008. This singular recognition comes as a result of Parvus meeting or exceeding all quality objectives, delivery schedules, and project deliverables related to pre-production Communication, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) battery subsystems for the F-22 Raptor. These units provide redundant, fail-safe power in all situations to critical encryption/decryption equipment onboard the F-22 aircraft.

“Despite the complexity of the technology and fast-track nature of the CNI Battery program, Parvus maintained on-time delivery rates exceeding 95%, including a functional prototype only six months after contract award and a production-representative unit after 10 months,” said Parvus Director of Aerospace & Defense Programs Mike Simpson. “All safety-of-flight qualification testing was completed after 15 months, and now we are in the thick of fulfilling our $3.5M production contract.”

Parvus went beyond the scope of the original development contract to implement design features and reliability improvements that are expected to save hundreds of man-hours per month of maintenance time. While the contract specification required 30 days of total battery life under worse-case conditions, Parvus’ final design achieved 40+ days without a recharge, which greatly improves the mission readiness for the F-22.

An ISO-9001 quality certified company since 1993 Parvus has a long history of working with Lockheed Martin on a variety of aerospace and defense programs. Parvus enjoys delegated source inspection authority with Lockheed for its strong quality and delivery performance.
