(NASDAQ: SYMM), a worldwide leader in precise time and frequency products and services, today announced the new 9250, a unique Military oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) that combines low g sensitivity in a small, low profile package. The 9250 is designed for applications where low g sensitivity and low phase noise are critical application design parameters.

The Symmetricom 9250 military OCXO is designed for ground tactical and airborne applications where superior frequency stability and phase noise are required. Advanced communications, navigation and targeting systems require precision oscillators that can withstand a wide range of operating environments with minimal degradation in frequency accuracy and stability. Part of a new family of low g oscillators from Symmetricom that support these applications, the 9250 uniquely combines excellent frequency stability and low dynamic phase noise in a small, low profile package. The 9250 achieves less than –100dBc phase noise at 1Hz from the 10MHz carrier.

Symmetricom designs and manufactures highly stable and precise rubidium, cesium and quartz oscillators for instrumentation and satellite applications. These oscillators are available in stand-alone and embedded frequency reference subsystems.
