Seica Teams with EADS Test and Services To Win Contract for Board Testing at Dassault Aviation
3 years 2 weeks ago

PARIS, March 2007, Seica announced today jointly with EADS TEST & SERVICES the award from Dassault Aviation of a contract to provide test systems for the production testing of on-board electronics of Rafale fighters.

Seica and EADS TEST & SERVICES will provide ATEC MT (Module Tester) benches: ATEC-based test systems integrating Seica's Valid board level test and diagnostics capability. This contract includes direct migration tools from obsolete Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), as well as post processing from Teradyne's LASAR simulator. As part of the agreement, Seica and EADS TEST & SERVICES will complete migrations of existing test programmes to the new platforms.

Seica's solution was selected thanks to the digital performance offering real time test and diagnostics at 25MHz data rate, the ability to match all characteristics of the obsolete equipment, and the comprehensiveness of the translator that will greatly reduce the TPS migration costs. Seica has a solid experience in re-hosting TPS from obsolete systems, including GenRad's 1792/6, 2225/35, 2750, Teradyne's L200/L300, Computer Automation Marathon, and Schlumberger S720/790.

Joining efforts with EADS TEST & SERVICES was key to ensure Dassault Aviation all the necessary long term support commitments. The ATEC MT test system is based on the ATEC Series 6 hardware and software architecture and hosts a fully integrated Valid subsystem, capable of providing up to 1,024 I/O stimuli at 25MHz, as well as analogue testing through 8-line matrix and integrated synthetic instrumentation.
