Boston, MA, USA – 12 April, 2006 – PrismTech™, an acknowledged leader in the provision of state-of-the-art middleware and development tools, today announced the appointment of Laurent Séraphin as Senior Director of Business Development EMEA and Asia Pacific. Laurent will be responsible for further developing PrismTech's middleware and tools business in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific regions particularly for its OpenFusion™ CORBA®, OpenSplice™ DDS, and Spectra™ SDR product suites.

Laurent has more than 12 years experience in the IT industry with particular expertise in the middleware and tools sectors. He has hands-on software architecture and development experience and has provided business and mission critical solutions to a variety of industries including Telecommunications, Defense, Aerospace and Finance.

Laurent joins PrismTech from Borland Software Corporation where he was Senior Director of Product Marketing and Business Development. Originally from France, Laurent has worked in various countries for technology companies including Ardent Software on its O2 object database product line and for ILOG, the world leader in C++ and Java™ business components in various capacities from development to project management.

Based in PrismTech's Reading, UK office, Laurent will be working closely with product managers and sales teams to help ensure that new product developments are perfectly aligned with market needs and customers' expectations. He will also help to manage vendor-partner relationships to maximize PrismTech's market reach through its indirect sales channels.
