Parvus Announces New Engineering Director
2 years 5 months ago

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – October 10, 2007 - Parvus Corporation today announced that Richard W. Gee has joined the company as Director of Engineering to manage the day-to-day activities of the Engineering Department and contribute to Parvus' ongoing growth efforts. Mr. Gee brings 25 years of product development experience including executive management positions in aerospace, defense, life science and consumer branded product companies.

“After conducting a thorough and exhaustive search, Richard stood well above the rest, not only with his many proven business accomplishments, but just as critical, with his very positive attitude and managerial demeanor,” said Parvus President Les Goodman. “I am certain that Richard will be an excellent addition to the Parvus team and play a significant role in our continued expansion.”

Mr. Gee leaves Basic Research, LCC as its Director of Internal Operations. Prior to this position, he worked for PerkinElmer Life Sciences and Woodward Industrial Controls in hardware and mechanical engineering management roles. From 1990 to 1997, Gee served as Director of Mechanical, Technical and Design Services at Sundstrand Aerospace, a $500M manufacturer of aerospace and Military electric power generation systems, hydraulic actuators and fuel delivery systems. From 1983 to 1990, he worked as Engineering Section Manager for Raytheon (formerly HRB Singer Defense Electronics), a $100M manufacturer of Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3I) hardware and software for the Department of Defense and National Security Agency.

Richard holds a Masters' degree in Computer-Aided Manufacturing and Bachelors' degree in Engineering Technology from Brigham Young University. He is trained and experienced in Product Life Cycle Management, Continuous Improvement methods, Facilitative Management, Total Quality Management, Concurrent Engineering, and Rapid Prototyping techniques.
