Warfighter FOCUS Moves Forward
2 years 4 months ago

The U.S. Armys Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) announced today that performance will begin on the Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support (FOCUS) contract. General Dynamics Information Technology joined the Warrior Training Alliance team, comprised of Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC, Computer Sciences Corporation and 64 additional companies.

“We are pleased that all the parties involved have reached a resolution in which we all have reason to be satisfied with the outcome,” said Dr. Jim Blake, program executive officer for PEO STRI. “Whats most important, though, is the successful execution of this contract so that Soldiers receive the support they need and deserve. Im confident that Raytheon Technical Services Company and their team members in the Warrior Training Alliance will enhance PEO STRIs support of Warfighters in the field.”

The contract fully integrates the live, virtual and constructive training operations and support systems at Army installations worldwide. The consolidated contract creates the potential for efficiencies within the Army. “Under this new approach for contracted training services, we look forward to providing a workforce that is able to flex across live, virtual, and constructive training support at Army installations around the world,” said Russ McBride, PEO STRI Program Manager for Field Operations.

Warfighter FOCUS supports the Armys modernization plan by fostering a state-of-the-art, high-fidelity and immersive training environment. To do this, PEO STRI has awarded this indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract to consolidate the operations, maintenance, systems integration and engineering support services for the Armys live, virtual and constructive training systems at combat training centers, homestations and in theater.

ABOUT US: Headquartered in Orlando, Fla., the U.S. Army PEO STRI executes an annual budget of more than $2.5 billion. In addition to providing interoperable training and testing solutions and program management, PEO STRI provides life-cycle support for the Army's most advanced training systems around the world. PEO STRI is dedicated to putting the power of simulation into the hands of our Warfighters.
