Ayer, MA, September 5, 2005 -- Hybricon Corporation has been awarded a contract to supply Goodrich Corporation with a customized liquid cooled chassis for their DB-110 airborne reconnaissance system. The combined chassis of the Airborne Reconnaissance Management System (RMS) and the Sensor Control Unit (SCU) is to be integrated into the Goodrich DB-110 RECCE Pod, for use with the DB-110 Reconnaissance System.
Goodrich’s DB-110/RAPTOR (Reconnaissance Airborne Pod for Tornado) is the world’s first tactical day/night reconnaissance system. It allows pilots to capture images day or night using electro-optical sensor technology and then transmit the images to analysts on the ground in real time. Poland’s Ministry of National Defense has selected the DB-110 system for use on F-16 fighters.
