Chroma Systems Solutions to Speak at Applied Power Electronics Conference Showcase of REGENERATIVE BURN-IN SYSTEMS

Chroma Systems Solutions (CSS) will showcase CoolBurn™, its newest automated test system featuring energy saving recyclable electronic loads for burn-in, at the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) and Exposition in Austin, TX February 25-27. This patent-pending technology, designed for burn-in testing of isolated and non-isolated DC-DC converters, saves energy by recycling the converters output power, reduces heat and utility costs via diminished energy demands and dramatically increases production volumes by reducing change-over times.

Energy Savings: By recycling output power, CoolBurn™ drastically reduces utility costs during burn-in which are typically the highest cost process on the manufacturing floor. Reducing wasted power by typically 75 percent means return-on-investments of under a year for common applications.

Optimized Burn-in Periods: Advanced recording of failures and other critical statistical data is automatically provided providing empirical data on times/temperatures of infant mortalities – allowing shorter burn-in periods to be safely introduced as products mature.

Heat Reduction: Additional recurring and non-recurring savings are provided by a corresponding reduction dissipated waste heat including lower air-conditioning costs reduce floor space!

Productivity Increases: Expandable up to 128 loads per system, software allows for program control of input line voltages, load levels and burn-in temperatures; costly manual adjustments are minimized
