Advantech Launches Robust & Powerful Analog Input Modules
The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduces two new ADAM analog input modules, the ADAM-5017P and ADAM-5018P. The ADAM-5017P has eight different independent configuration channels, supports power reverse, and also has a wide uni-polar or bi-polar input range • The ADAM-5018P is a Thermocouple Input Module which supports seven input ranges and types (J,K,T,E,R,S,B), and will filter functions to remove any unreasonable range • Both will support the High Common Mode function, which means channel-to-channel differential voltages can be up to 200 VDC • Now even more measurements, such as battery or power transducer/transmitter measurements can be achieved with this new design • Furthermore, they have over-voltage protection to avoid ranges ±60 VDC that protects the modules from power surges • Also, there is built-in TVS/ESD protection to protect the high-density, miniaturization, and complex equipment • TVS diodes avoid ESD and protect the electronic components • The ADAM-5017P and ADAM-5018P are both ADAM-5550 series expansion modules which are supported by the ADAM.Net Utility • In the Facility and Machine Automation market, these modules can withstand harsh requirements and provide ideal and cost-effective options • The ADAM-5017P and ADAM-5018P modules are now available to the market • To purchase or if you have any questions, please contact Advantech at 1-800-205-7940 or your regional Advantech authorized dealer for more information
The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduces the EKI-2525P, which combines a compact and rugged 5-port unmanaged Ethernet switch with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology, to connect and power Ethernet devices over a single cable • PoE, which is relatively new to industrial and plant-floor applications, is a technology to transmit power plus data to remote Ethernet devices over standard twisted-pair Cat5e cables • More formally known as IEEE 802.3af internationally, this standard specifies a supply of 48 VDC at up to 15.4 W per port • With combined capabilities of an unmanaged Ethernet switch and a PoE power injector, the 5 port EKI-2525P has 4 PoE ports that are capable of supplying up to 15.4 W each • Additionally, each port can automatically detect when PoE compliant devices are attached, before supplying power, allowing the use of traditional (non-PoE) Ethernet devices if needed • Packaged in a compact and thin DIN-rail mount chassis, the EKI-2525P is ideal where panel space is limited • It is also ruggedized for demanding industrial applications, with dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs, 4,000 VDC Ethernet ESD protection, power line surge (EFT) protection of 3,000 VDC, and features an operating temperature range of -10 °C to 60 °C to ensure system uptime • Plus, these switches are CUL (UL/CSA), CE, FCC, and RoHS/WEE certified. • For ease of maintenance, each Ethernet port is equipped with front-facing LED indicators that provide link, transmission speed, activity and PoE output status to aid in diagnosing issues with cables and attached devices • With auto-MDI/MDI-X, there is no need to use crossover cables for inter-switch connections and auto-negotiation provides optimum link configurations and compatibility with legacy devices • The EKI-2525P is ideal for connecting and powering PoE devices in harsh industrial environments and is currently available • To purchase or if you have any questions, please contact Advantech at 1-800-205-7940 or your regional Advantech authorized dealer for more information
